The Legend of Kupe.
About a thousand years ago Kupe and his
whanau sailed from Hawaiki in a greate waka
Perhaps hunting a ginormous sqwd,or searching for the
land
Fished up by maui which
Is Aotearoa/New Zealand.

Aftera long great time
Kupe wife saw a land
Called Aotearoa.which
Is New Zealand.

The voyagers came in the far North Aotearoa/New Zealand
Then they sailed to east coast to where Wellington is
today.After
Passing cook strait,when they arrived
In the South island they
Came across a really
Beautiful praciow greenstone.
Other people arrived in
Aotearoa/New Zealand
Before Kupe?some people said they anlg saw birds in
the thick
forest.There where
Other stories.Kupe and
His family saw people
Breaking a fern that had
Roots for food.

As they were still looking at the greenstone,then they saw moa that’s tall like
3.6 meters tall creature.
As they were staring at
A huge creature,Kupe
Thought ofa name for the 3.6 meters creature.
And then after a couple
Of minutes thinking he
Finally got faard a name.
Hat be thought of was moa.
